Floor Projector Box options

Guys and Gals... quick question... I am looking for a floor projector box (maybe) like the terrashield, but 300$ is crazy.
I know others feel this way too...
Do you think there is a market for these at half or less the price?
I am considering making one (i have a laser cutter etc) with dual fans etc. Just curious as to if people are interested or not/

Others on the site have come up with diy solutions for items that have sold very well. Now most people ceiling mount, but there are some who just can't, so I'd say give it a go.

I also looked at the terrashield but $300 was way more than I wanted to spend and I was in a pinch for time as I was having people over and needed a solution in a few hours so I threw together a box with some scraps that I had in the garage. It took a few direct shots before I moved around the setup but it might be stop gap until you have a final solution. If I end up keeping my projector on the ground I might be interested in whatever you are putting together. It does not look great but for 10 minutes of work I can't hate it.

How well has this worked out for you? Any issues with overheating at all? What about balls hitting the lens?

Put some carpet on it and nobody will be the wiser.

It's worked really well. I've had a few people hit right into it so I replaced the the small back strip with actual plywood and put a foam over it. At some point i'm going to so something better primarily for looks.
