I am new to this group. I own a fitness & sports facility in the US. I purchased a nearby building to be used an an expansion to our gym that in a portion of the building we are working on a golf / game room. I am looking for a simulator that will be useful for avid golfers to want access to, and also for novice golfers who would want to rent the room as a group as they would doing top golf. There is a top golf about an hour away. To my knowledge there isn't a high end simulator outside of someone's home within an hour drive in any direction.
The members of our fitness center that want access to golf sim,we will have their key activated to use the sim after getting instructed on how to use it. Each swipe to enter will generate a transaction, so it will be mostly unmanned other than cleaning, etc. I plan on putting 3 rows of theatre seats at the rear of the sim to use for movies, etc., and on an adjacent room will be a nice putting green & sitting areas. In the room above the theatre, I will add a game room that will be accessible for an additional fee. I mention these details to see if any of your have recommendations for something that would work well in this setting. Looks good, fairly easy to play, has the details that golfers want.
Since I have no idea as to how this will go over, I am not opposed to purchasing used equipment in good shape. I could always upgrade later. I sent an inquiry to TGC, I haven't heard back from them yet. This is something I always wanted to build out in my home, so why not write it off my taxes and see how well it will do as part of our business.
Since I am new to sims, I'm not sure if I would be better off with a mid level new sim with updated graphics, or an high / luxury end older sim that would have cost $50k new. Any suggestions would be useful.
