  • Looking to purchase a simulator

I don't know if this is the correct area to be posting, so I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong area. I am looking to purchase a simulator for home use. I would like to have some game improvement features, but would also like to have something where I can have some buddies over for a beer or two and "play" 9 or 18 holes. I want a good unit (new or used in good condition) but don't want to break the bank either. Probably want to stay less than 10K but preferably closer to the 5K range. I have seen some used ones that seem decent (Skytrak and Trugolf), and come with almost the entire set up of net, computer, hitting mat, etc. I guess I am new to this and looking for any and all advice. Any hints as to what I should look for or should look to stay away from. Again, I am a newbie and trying not to waste my money.

Thanks in advance for any help.

In your price range stick to Skytrak or GC2. A complete Skytrak setup will be closer to $5k, and GC2 will be more like $8-10k. BamaGambler is selling his complete GC2 setup as he is moving to a new house, so that might be a good option for a one-stop-shop. He has an HMT add on for the GC2 that would put you over $10k, but someone else said they were interested in just that.

I've had a net return plus skytrak for about 6 months. I decide to start small to make sure I would actually hit balls at home. I love it! Time to upgrade.

I added a post to the Home Simulators Classified Ads:

I just added up the cost of everything I have in my simulator setup and it is 24,400. 6,500 of that is HMT. Accepting offers with and without HMT.
