With the Skytrak delay I have decided to go with a new GC2. I spoke to Foresight yesterday, set me up as a dealer and offered me 14 free courses with purchase of performance software. They know about players using Protee with the GC2 and assured me that without updating latest firmware, data will not be accurate. The offer is only thru tomorrow. I grew up playing Congressional Country Club which is offered in the Champion package. I really think playing online with all of you will be great. I am a 52 year old scratch player. $8000+/- includes GC2, protective case, shipping, performance package, and 14 free courses. Should I just buy GC@ from Foresight and purchase Protee software? Little nervous about Foresight finding a way to block Protee from GC@. Any quick responses would be helpful.

What they told you does not make sense. GC2 with firmware from 6-12 months ago are not accurate? Scare tactic?
ProTee has Congressional I think but I'm sure somebody will eventually create it on TGC and it will blow the Red Chain version away. I'll let GC2 owners way in on the choice part.

It's an absolute no brainier dude. Buy the GC2 and protective shield from Foresight and says thanks. Download Protee and read Zmax's posts. I couldn't get mine to work and emailed Protee asking for instructions. They remoted into my PC and had it working in about 30 seconds. Zmax has since posted detailed instructions.Originally posted by Sullyberger View PostWill you guys walk me thru the marriage of GC2 and Protee?

Sully, I almost went down the all foresight sim path a month ago if your nervous its understandable thats a lot of money for software either way. My so far my experience with the CG2 and Protee are it has an easy to setup interface is real easy, course selection is great I have access to more than I can play in a lifetime, and everyone on this site will bend over backward to help you if you need it. I went Protee and am not looking back, If you need to discuss further just PM me and I will PM you my number.Originally posted by Sullyberger View PostWith the Skytrak delay I have decided to go with a new GC2. Let's just say I'm getting there. The city made me jump through some pretty crazy hoops (9 weeks) and about 9 grand to get permits. I took this today. I start framing tomorrow. Hopefully Xmas. I've set up the GC2 in the living room but it was more depressing than anything.Originally posted by Bubba22 View PostYep, good advice mthunt. Have you started TGC yet?1 PhotoMy Courses:

I'm in a similar boat...
I was sold on a GC2 until someone mentioned the SkyTrak to me. The GC2 has a great reputation, and fits the bill perfectly - but the price is slightly daunting. Since reading on here that I can use ProTee it's made it a slightly easier decision. The Foresight software is so expensive if you want to be able to play more than one course.
The 4 second delay between the shot / iPad displaying it, and the fact their is no simulation (yet) on the SkyTrak has put me off it. At least the GC2 is a proven unit with a lot of positive reviews behind it.
I bought my projector and hitting mat in Fridays sales... and just bought the first few components for my simulator PC in the last few sales!
