You can start cheap with something like R-motion

What are you looking for from this sensor? What is your price range?

You won't find a decent launch monitor (which I define as something that at minimum tracks the ball launch conditions) for less than a Skytrak. ($1700-200). If you want to save some money, you can buy a swing analyzer that tracks your club, and provides a decent guess at ball flight.

Price range less than 5k, was worried by the accuracy of the Skytrak and probably preference so far would be the GC2, however maybe people can shed some light on how they get on with the Skytrak. Reviews seem to be mixed.

I have experience with both, but have never used either outdoors. My opinion just from things I've read, go with the GC2.

Outdoors, I would suggest the GC2 or radar based unit like the Flightscope or Trackman. Flightscope would be more in your price range.

You didn’t state a price but the gc2 works great.
