  • Screen Not Reaching Floor

Recently got the stuff to build a simulator in my garage off a buddy that no longer uses his. I hung the 9'x9' screen last night but am unsure if I will want to lower it. As it sits now, it will be around 6-8" off the ground and there some stone behind it. If I leave it I plan on having 6 sand bags to stop any worm burners that come off. Is this alright or would you recommend having the screen on the ground?

Also behind the screen, will a tarp be sufficient to stop bounce and impact against the wall or are moving blankets the best bet?

Just my 2 cents but you should lower it. Its going to happen either you or someone else will send it right under the screen into the wall and good luck where that ball is going from there!

I think that your sandbag solution would definitely work. Regarding behind the screen, moving blankets are mnuch better. I am actually planning on buying one of those memory foam bed pads as that should further reduce noise.

Dealing with this now. I have a heavy duty tarp behind my impact there is a 1 1/2’ gap at the bottom. I was waiting for tees to arrive in the mail so I’ve only been hitting irons. Got the tees last night, tee’d one up a worm burned one under the screen thru the tarp and into the door.
Id say if using sandbags better have a vacuum close by as you will have sand everywhere.
