I’m absolutely gutted that I’m having to share this post.

I’ve been suffering from a recurring back injury over the last 6-7 years that it’s forcing me away from the sport that I truly love to play. But unfortunately I’m only able to play a few holes until I start to experience pain which impacts all aspects of my life and last for 3-4days after the round.

I do however take comfort that i birdied the last hole I played by sticking a 9 iron to 4 feet on a 139 yard par 3 so I’ve gone out on a high.

It has led me to cancel my golf membership at my local club and after some serious contemplating I’m reluctantly going to be selling my skytrak and tgc2019 license and other simulator equipment in the very near future.

I would also like to thank skytrak for making an affordable launch monitor and protee for supplying amazing simulator software in tgc and tgc 2019 and running a fantastic weekly tour and also thank the forum members that help run it.

I would also like to thank all the members of this forum for the information which has helped me and countless others when it comes to all aspects of a simulator build.

Take care and happy golfing people.

So sorry to hear of your plight !! I can emphasize with your back pain. Seems like I have always had lower back pain created from a life long job that requires more brawn then brain ( by the way I fit neither category, hence the pain). Early last year while trying to establish my handicap for a tournament i strained my rhomboid muscle. Thought it was better until last Tuesday while playing golf with the Wife and on the last hole i really wanted to impress her with a long drive, i gave it just that extra gear...........

Here we go again, several days off then a series of stretches and so more strength exercises!!!!

The consequences of not taking care of yourself suck ! Not saying that's your issue, just venting mine !!

Hope you feel better soon !!

I tore a muscle in my back when lifting something at work slipped and it required me to have about 6 months of work till I was able to heal. The annoying thing is golf seems to be the only thing that effects and it then impacts my ability to stand, walk and lift.

            May I suggest.........

Back pain issues and Golf go "hand in hand", before you sell your stuff.......... take a look at, or contemplate the wise words from Charlton Heston in the original Planet of the Apes movie and use them/it for motivation !

Sorry man that really sucks. Hopefully it will get better in time. I had my first experience with back pain from golf a month or 2 ago. Never had pain like that before. I was afraid to move. At that point you just want to walk pain free, I get it now. Get well!

So sorry for the injury I've jacked my self up so much my whole life - I did steal fab in my 20's working high off the ground - I ended up quitting when I almost died for the 10 time by a crane mishap. Somehow I walk away from that, many broken bones from skateboards, snowboards, wakeboards, MTB's, dirt bikes the last time I race I got hurt for some dumb plastic blah, I've been to ER so many times it's crazy, I grew up on a golf course played some, I always thought I would wait until I was 50 to play golf and give up on the crazy fun stuff and play golf and I did, but even golf has hurt me and had lots of shoulder issues year and half in PT and still have issues (might be related to crashing on my bike) but anyways - Hopefully you can get well and live a pain free life and enjoy it. Get well Bro.

I tore an intercostal muscle that wrapped around to my back a couple years ago (swimming race). It took forever to heal.

Sorry for yours. Golf sim and back injury is a bad combo.

Maybe you can get your fix in the designer while you're down. We need more designers who understands the sim game.

Sorry to hear. Unfortunately, the golf swing is not kind to the back. Best of luck in your recovery and hopefully you stay pain free.
