  • Elbow Pain when hitting on practise mat. Anybody else experienced this ?

Since lockdown I started playing a bit of golf inside (don't have a simulator yet cause everything is sold out at the moment) and used my putting mat for this. Of course this wasn't quite the right kind of mat for this kind of task. I tried to hit more "trough" the ball and into the ground which gave me better contact. But actually that was a bad idea with this kind of mat. I stopped playing completley now but still have ellbow pain and it does not get any better.

The pain is NOT where it normally would be for a tennis (had this before from playing tennis) or golf ellbow. It's not an overuse (muscular) problem but its a sharp pain directly on the bone of the ellbow. Did anybody else experience something similar ? I will go to the doctor next week and he will probably do some X Ray. But I still would be interested...
    Thanks !!!

I still have my TruStrike and note that I never had issues with it nor my joints, but I am wanting to try the and do a cut out on my turf and put in the Fiberbuilt and see how that works (fingers and toes crossed). If all is good, then I will likely be putting my TruStrike on the market as it is still in great condition.

      Hi Dax,
I'm just getting started setting up a simulator in my garage. I have elbow issues already so I want a mat that is least injury prone. I'm a 20 handicap, so poor contact is a major area of improvement needed. The TruStrike technology (gel layer) seems like it would be optimal. The Fiberbuilt seems to have the reputation for low injury risk, but I can't find what technology provides that. Does your TruStrike have the gel insert hitting panel? If so, I'd be interested.

chenryjr and others, I really appreciate the interest, but I am not looking to sell my other mat just yet. I want to see how the Fiberbuilt install goes first and that likely won’t happen for a few weeks yet. Also, I have the gel mat plus four stance mats and that makes up a lot to find a way ship. If I do sell, I might look for a local buyer first.
