Budget outdoor launch monitor for practice

Afternoon,

I'm looking for a budget under £500 launch monitor to he used outside with a hitting net, I'd like to play virtual courses if possible and I'm going through a swing adjustment so accurate driving distances would be a bonus if possible apologies if this is a repeat thread I've watched hundreds of reviews and got lost in YouTube holes! So just after some human experience

Ernest Sports has some launch monitors at that price point and I believe some of their products are compatible with TGC 2019. Not sure if the ones that are compatible are those cheaper ones or not. (And I don't know much at all about the Ernest units so I can't speak to the quality or anything).

Other than that, playing sim golf with a launch monitor is tough with that budget. You can play sim golf with the R-motion, although that's not an actual launch monitor if that's what you're looking for. Same goes for things like the Tittle X, Optishot and Phi-Golf.

For just practice, you could check out the Flightscope Mevo. Can't play sim golf with it but it's within your budget and good for outdoor use. The swing caddie or voice caddie is another portable launch monitor that's good for outdoor use and practice (no sim play). Could probably pick up one of these portable units for practice and the R-motion or something for when you feel like playing some golf and stay within or reasonably close to your budget.

I agree, not sure you will be able to find any launch monitor at that price that supports virtual courses. 3on3putt already mentioned some devices like the r-motion. I reckon the best that £500 or below will get you is probably a mevo, which testing has showed was fairly accurate. One test had it around 6 ish yards too long when testing driver carry against an X3.

Or just get a voice caddie or gamin g80. They all show fundamental parameters and have been proven to be reasonably accurate, but again with accuracy tailing off with longer shots. Rick Shiels tested a voice caddie against his GCQ and I recall it came out quite good, for the price.
