  • Reshade for both TGC 2019 and FSX 2020

Can I use Reshade for TGC 2019 and FSX 2020 on the same PC without having to change the setting everytime when I switching from one to another.

Yea, I am pretty sure reshade is per executable file. So it will have different settings for each program.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the RTGI Pascal Glicher Ray Tracing shader with Reshade yet?
Curious to see if anyone got pseudo raytracing working with TGC2019 yet.

I'm hesitating on trying it myself since the tutorials off youtube look fairly technical and unsure if my laptop 1660ti can handle it.

About a year ago I got Early Access to a reshade version that had "Ray tracing". I got absolutely nothing out of it. At that time it was stated that the light source needed to be on screen. So for the golf game I think that would mean the Sun in the frame. That didn't make any difference. I don't know if the later versions has simplified or improved making it relevant to the Golf softwares. I'm not a reshade super confident person but it failed like most of the effects fail or have no discernable effect in reshade. I'd like to know if anyone else got anywhere. If you're saying there are tutorials since then that would explain a lot why I got nowhere

        Good to know.

The demos from the Marty Mcfly RTGI for certain games looked pretty impressive. Crysis's plant life looked a lot more realistic and the witcher 3 accentuated the shadows. Since tgc designer uses a longitude, latitude, and time of day for lighting effects, I had some hope this shader would make plant life look more realistic.

Well, actually that sounds intriguing and maybe we should still plug away at it. You just gave me the itch again, I'm kind of a settings fool.

Looking forward to the first golf sim that starts utilizing ray tracing. TGC and 2K21 are Unity based so changing to the latest rendering pipeline (HDRP) would not be difficult.

Also, current games should upgrade the 3D assets to more photorelistic trees etc. That would be very simple and should enhance the perceived quality and immersiveness a lot, I think.

I tried the RTGI pseudo ray tracing program with minimal success. It add increased shade to the grasses and leaves.
Nothing eye popping or increased realism.
