  • Short putts outside of the game instead of gimmes?

A few local sims use this concept where they have a hole on a putting mat, with markers every inches.

When you are inside 12 feet, instead of putting on the screen, you place the ball at the correct marker and putt to the hole. You then manually enter whether you made the putt (+1) or not (+2).

I much prefer doing this to putting on the screen and gimmes. From what I can tell, the software used was Red Chain (the same base as Fitness Golf).

My question is, which games, if any, currently support this feature?

E6 wouldn't give you a location to putt from, but you can choose to enter the number of putts manually once you're on the green. You could always figure out a system of your own based on distance to the pin and putt out in real life instead, then put the number in. Usually my group just assumes +1 inside 6', +2 from 7-20 and +3 for anything further and don't even bother with the flatstick in sim. I don't find the skill translates to improved putting on the course, so there's not much reason for me to do it.

Can't speak to TGC since I've never used either iteration.

That would work. I should have googled better as it seems this question has been answered already and TGC/TGC19 do not support manually entering putts. Thank you.
