More Long-Term Upside?

I'm looking at potentially purchasing a simulator/launch monitor, I was mostly hoping to spend less than $5k for Simulator, Mat, and Screen/Net Set up (projected/computer and other stuff will come down the road) so it looks like my main options are SkyTrak and Mevo+. I'm very much stuck in the middle of the two and was wondering if one had more long-term upside as they continually update the software.

I'm going to set this up in my garage (possible outside in my back yard in the summer) so I've seen some concern about interference from the garage door from the Mevo+, but I like how the Mevo+ actually seems to calculate more metrics. It seems like there is incomplete info (or i just suck at searching and finding information) on how the SkyTrak does on off-center hits with calculating swing speed.

Would love to hear some thoughts on what might be the better long-term play. Maybe its worth waiting for the PGA show as well.

Skytrak will only give you accurate ball data. All club data that it might provide is a guess based of the ball metrics that it is seeing.

for the Mevo, if you go this route, make sure you have enough space and read up on others and their findings re metal garage door.

Yeah I can't seem to find a straight answer on the garage door thing. Some people say it's fine and some people say it causes issues. Flightscope hasn't gotten back to me.

Can you turn things around and out your screen against your wall opposite garage door? This way in the summer you can open it up and get a bit more distance for ball flight.
