Noise in garage -

I am in the process of adding insulation and drywall for my garage before setting up a simulator. However, the garage door still doesn't have insulation. I have a few questions:

1) Is hitting balls very loud inside the garage? I have read about Almost balls but prefer to hit real balls.

2) Will it be a problem during the day with the neighbors inside their homes? Both of my neighbors are retired and at home most of the time. I have a detached home and the garage attached to my house.

3) Is building an swing bay enclosure with solid wood frame and insulation helps to reduce the noise to the house and neighbors? Hopefully this swingbay enclosure inside a insulated garage can reduce most of the noise. Has anyone done it? This enclosure has 3 walls and a ceiling of 9' x 9' x 9'. This enclosure still has one opening facing the garage door away from the neighbors. Perhaps I can attach acoustic foam to the wall of the enclosure. Is this overkilled?

My neighbor says he never hears a thing. (I am also in an attached garage). Our houses are separated by maybe 30 feet. Typical suburban neighborhood.

I have 2 kids under the age of 4 and neither of them get woken up by it. (I typically play at night). My wife says she can hear it easily downstairs but not much at all upstairs.

I have a sim in my garage and the noise isn't that bad at all. Outside the garage you can hear a driver but the neighbors can't hear it. But this all depends on the construction of the garage and how far away your neighbors are.

The insulation will help, for sure. Take a look at acoustic insulation, that should help dampen a bit of the noise.

Also, it's not necessary the sound of the ball hitting the impact screen it's the driver hitting the ball. I have a SQ Raw screen from Par2Pro and it is super quiet.

Depending on how far away your neighbors are the swing bay along with insulation should be good enough.
