Can you play sim golf but skip putting? I prefer not to set up sim putting.
I want to play golf rounds on my Skytrak that I will install. Can I play without putting? How will it calculate scores?
Which golf game package works best with Skytrak?
Pretty much all software will allow you to skip putting. Some have you enter number of putts and some base your score on distance.

For example, you can set it to give you 1 putt for anything inside 8 feet and 2 putts for anything outside of that. Or you can have random putting that will just give you a random number of putts on each hole.
Give putting a try though. I've found that I actually like putting. And you will need to putt if you want to play in tournaments.
As for your second question, there are a handful that all work just fine with skytrak. But tgc2019 is the most popular.

Could you please briefly explain what set up you need for putting and whether you need an extra mat?
I have a putting mat that extends from the front of my hitting mat to the screen. It's just one of those little putting carpets that are about 2 feet wide with a hole at the end. I paid like $30 for it. I think it was 8 feet long but I had to cut some off from one end to make it fit. It sits perfectly level with the hitting mat so the ball rolls really smooth all the way to the screen. When I putt, I set the ball about 6 inches behind the spot where I hit full shots from.
You don't need a putting mat at all though with a Skytrak. I like it having it because it helps me judge the speed of the putts better. But you can just hit putts using the exact same setup as you normally would without putting. There's nothing extra required.
