Sliding floor rail

Been tring to piece something together here searching through amazon and haven't been able to find much.

Looking for something I could place/mount on the floor that I can mount the mevo plus on that would slide from a left hand to right hand hitting position. Been looking at sliding door hardware and things along those lines but haven't really seen anything that looks like it would work so far that would keep the mevo level with the hitting mat (1.5-1.75 inches). Anyone done this or thoughts and suggestions on what I could use?

Camera Slider, would that work?
Or a heavy duty drawer slide?

Linear ball bearings, amazon has a lot with different lengths depending upon what you need
