Just an observation, but in the outdoor tests they were using a TM4 and when they switch to indoor testing the used a TM3. Am I wrong about this? -
Not a TM expert, but the stand of the TM shown from the back certainly doesn't look like the current model.
Also, it seems their criticism of the TM is the face-to-path value. Wouldn't a better test have been to do the Driver test outdoors to see what the actual ball flight was, given the numbers measured?
I've never used either, but assuming everyone on this forum is correct, the TM4 and GC4 are great units. But it seems this test should be taken with a grain of salt.Comment

Your conclusion was what I was trying to hint at without coming out and saying it. You can tell it is either a 3 or a 3e from the pick for the indoor set up. I also don’t think they mention they switched to a TM3 in the indoor set up which leads me to believe that something is up. For the TM3e they came out and stated that their was one area that they struggled with gear effect and while I cannot be totally sure, I believe it was a tow strike.

Full disclosure, I am a TrackMan employee and please understand that I’m only here to help clarify. This video is heavily flawed. The first issue is that the person speaking is a Foresight employee, so there’s no impartiality here. Second, they never hit a shot over 164 yards in the outdoor test (there is a very big reason why they wouldn’t do this). And third, they are using a TM3 or 3e in the indoor test and only showing results from a single shot.
I’m not here to disparage any other products, but feel that it’s important to provide more context on what is being seen here. There is also some misinformation in the comments of the video which I won’t unpack here.Comment

I actually took it upon myself last week to post my observations in respect of the video and many of the things I pointed out are in line with the comments you have made above. I even asked the poster of the video to let us know who created the content as it was not something that the poster created and also asked who it was that was speaking in the video and what was that person as well as the company that created the videos relationship to Foresight. One would think that this information would be important and also if the channel posting the video truly wants people to have the information that they need to draw their own conclusion, then there should be full disclosure of the various things that have been noted above. Unfortunately, this is not the case as I was censored from the channel and all my comments have now been removed so that someone who watches the video now may make the wrong conclusion.
I am not sure why my comments that were fully within YouTube’s guidelines would be censored by the person who created the channel, but really think that everyone should be careful when watching the video.
As for the channel that posted the video, I will leave it to readers of this post to draw your own conclusions.Comment

I probably shouldn't have been so quick to post the video here, as clearly the videos merits/accuracy are questionable.
I obviously had a bit of suspicion that I mentioned in the OP, but I really should be more diligent.
