New simulator build

Hello all,

New to the forum, did a search but am hoping for some more specific guidance.

Starting from scratch on a simulator build in the SF Bay Area. Not handy at all, looking to bring a professional to do a full build in my basement which has ample space. A few notes:

- Budget $30-$75k
- Looking for the most accurate data over the most courses/best graphics
- Sim will get a ton of use, wearable items (i.e. mat) need to be easily replaceable
- Currently looking at Full Swing vs Foresight but really am lost

Does anyone have any recos or guidance they can provide me?

Full Swing is going to look pretty seemless, however there was a pretty well documented issue with someone here with their Full Swing Set up. And he spent upwards of $90k on his. If It was my money, I'd check with Foresight and Trackman. They both would fit your budget and both have top of the line analytics, complementing accessories and sensors, and support structures. Trackman is considered the industry standard for ball data and the course list is excellent with ther Trackman software. Additionally, you can integrate E6, and or TGC2019 as complimentary simulation software.

Foresights courses are also very nice, but if I had to choose one over the other TrackMan has some really beautiful recreations.

Agree with the advice above completely. Really depends on what you are looking for and Owen seamless you want your install. Both companies would be very helpful in providing recommendations and both have “sim in the box” type solutions if you were wanting to save a little and do things yourself, but where everything you need is supplied.

some questions in terms of monitor are whether or not you would like the monitor Togo to the course with you and if you will have lefties or righties. Another big question is if you don’t want anything on the floor. While TM can be put out of the way behind you and easily handle lefty and righty players, this might not be what you want and of so, then the solution is easy and you should consider the Hawk and maybe also look at the Uneekor systems.

I've heard that GCquad is a better indoor option than Trackman. Is this reasonable input or untrue?

I would go with quad if you’re going to be primarily using it for indoors use. Outdoors then I would go trackman. But trackman owners might have different opinions. Camera based systems in general perform better indoors.

still on its way. I've played full swing aboutgolf and uneekor and felt it was the best.

I would get a ceiling mounted unit - I have EyeXO which is great, but you should explore GC Hawk with that budget. I can't imagine having a perfect room and then having a unit that has to be on the floor.
