Golf Simulator recommendation for own launch monitor

    Hello guys,

I'm trying to find a good-looking, modern software simulator that is friendly to accepting custom launch monitors. In other words, a software simulator with an API I could connect to. Looking at the major ones (E6, TGC, WGT, etc.) it's clear that most software simulators are made for their own hardware, and those that support multiple ones already have deals with the large manufacturers. Does anyone have tips about how to contact these software manufacturers and get details about API integration (or a good simulator that has support for this)? Most of the product sites only have end-user customer support forms.

    Thanks in advance,
    David

You can interface to TGC 2019 through the Protee Golf Interface SDK. There are a few guys who have written their own programs that read out data from GC2/GCQuad and feed that through the Protee SDK to TGC. The customer still needs to pay the ~$1k for a simulator TGC 2019 license to use the Protee SDK (not the $20 PC version).

Thank you for the tip andygg1986 ! That looks quite interesting. Initially I thought 2K was the developer of TGC because they bought HB Studios, but I guess Protee United is the prosumer reseller/distributor? Unwinding all these corporations is a little complicated.

Yeah, the way I understand it is that HB Studios developed the video game. Then Protee licensed the right to convert it to simulator use. Protee has their own ball flight model based on launch monitor input, but then there are still video game physics involved too like how the ball bounces, rolls, hits trees, etc.

There are also a couple of Facebook groups related to golf simulators. There might be some reps from the other software companies on there.
