Ii have a full indoor tru golf sim but really need a mobile launch monitor for outdoor range use / will mostly use for wedge distances 50 to 100 yards. I read that the mevo can be off 10 yards at times. What unit provides the best carry distance accuracy? For this purpose I don’t care too much about other club/ball data. Sliding in my bag would be nice. $2000 or less would also be a plus.

Amazon has both the mevo and the mevo+ for sale. The small is 500.00 and the plus is 2 grand. If your just going for wedges then I would suggest ordering the basic mevo from Amazon and if it does not perform well then return it. -
Does your range use premium balls? If so, I’d be cautious about using range balls to dial in wedge distances. Spin won’t be consistent with your regular ball if your range uses 2-piece range balls. If you’re hitting on grass that removes one big variable, but if not, the quality of range mats can vary significantly, and also affect your club delivery and launch conditions.
If you’re practicing a a nice club with a grass range and premium balls, please ignore the above. The Mevo + is the best radar unit on the market under $2k, and is well suited for tracking wedge shots outdoors. The upcoming Garmin R10 may be worth a look if you can wait for comprehensive reviews (as of now it is still an untested entry).Comment
