Anyone use a protective case of some sort over their quad or GC3?
I want my kids to be able to hit on the sim.

Quad is made to survive a hit. Not sure about GC3.

48 hours into my new setup ...

I took a piece out of the GCQuad case after a driver ricochet off the aluminum fame under the screen. It came straight back and knocked it over. A bit scary.

Now I'm buying a case from here and also putting padding across the frame so it doesn't come back at 100+ mph again...

Wow. I'm amazed by this picture. How far do you hit from the screen (enclosure)? Good to know there are protective cases you can buy.

I'm not sure of the exact distance - it's where the Foresight install team put it - maybe 13-14 feet.

Ok. And they left an exposed enclosure pipe? When I first set up my enclosure, which I bought with padding, etc., I looked at the exposed pipes on the exterior and thought "this could be a potential issue." I hit from about 11'0 from the screen and my enclosure is 5'0 deep. I bought normal pipe insulation foam (1") from Home Depot to cover them. It works great. I have had a few come screaming back at me because my enclosure was too close to my back wall. Also had a few bounce around the inside and come back.
Good luck with the cover. It looks like the one I had for my old Skytrak (which worked great).
    Working...
