  • LED light strip surround?

Hi guys, I know ambient lighting is the devil for sims but I'm wondering if anyone has done some accent lighting and if so what did you think? My thought is to put green LED strip lighting around the top of my simulator "stall". I wouldn't have any lighting you could see directly so it would hopefully be a green glow at the top of the sim. Anyone do something like this? Thanks.

No, but I'm interested in what you find or experiment with. I have a spotlight I got off of amazon that does a good job in the dark.
    Amazon: LED Pinspot
But it is a little hard to see around the garage ect with just that on.

I've done both led strips and a pin light. They're pretty cool! Both are amazon products.

as RRsilver said, the LED strip lights work great as the come with dimmers. I use two spot lights as well as a lower 3 light that purchased from Home Depot. I do have black shades over the window on the garage doors to stop daylight from coming in. I used 2 pieces of corner molding stacked so I could direct the LED strip down. the helped see the numbers on the clubs that are held up on the walls. You just get creative

I bought two strings of Govee led lights and have them laid out over the sides and top of the sim frame. The reflected light they cast against the walls is cool, but I honestly forget about it now bc my studio lighting is so predominant.

Few pre-build images and one today.

You can see the accent lights are very strong and customizable.

Strong enough to wash out the screen. You may see the switch for these beneath the floor mirror screen or use bluetooth).

In the current state of build, I don’t use them anymore as you can see I installed video recording lights in a three point configuration. Just wish I had a physical switch instead of an app. But, it works.

I can honestly say if the accent lights are on, it’s most likely a mistake.
