  • Uneekor Eye Mini Review?

    Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience using the Uneekor Eye Mini yet?

I saw one post that mentioned the mini doesn't have a gyroscope and they were receiving erroneous numbers due to a slight tilt in their garage. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am contemplating between GC3 and Mini, due to being in Canada BLP is not an option.

    Thanks!

    Hey Bailey,

A friend of mine let me try the uneekor eye mini and I absolutely loved it

I also made a full review on it on my blog if you are interested: https://www.fairwayhq.com/uneekor-eye-mini-review/

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

I ordered and tried the SkyTrak + for about a month then switched to the eye mini, and so far I like the eye mini a lot more. There is little to no delay when hitting, and I there is no comparison on short game accuracy. I do wish Uneekor would provide face-to-path/target even if it is just calculated like with Skytrak, but you pretty much know based on the swing path, and they have a club detail view that pretty much shows the face angle. You also get a slow motion image of impact that is nice as I am working on not rolling face over. It also measures/provides angle of attack which when combined with club path tells you what you need to know.

I haven't integrated any swing cameras yet. I tried using my horizontal/vertical swing cameras from my old ProTee setup, but I haven't gotten them to work. I did hear that club speed might be off some, but it is new, and I'm sure they will correct any minor bugs.

I typically use the range, but I did download and try GSPro, and it is great. I even use their ranges sometimes. I'm trying to find a swing camera that will work with View since 1400 is a lot for just swing cameras. I will probably find a cheap one and maybe get the swing balance/optix later.

Estimating face to path from path and spin axis is only accurate if you hit it at the centre of gravity. Off center strikes will definitely make your face to path estimations wrong due to added gear effect. I suspect they can actually measure face angle but at this time choose not to display that data.

No. That’s why it’s an estimate. It’s making assumptions about strike. How would they measure face without stickers?

To clarify, I am speaking of the Eye Mini not the Skytrak. Eye Mini requires stickers and measures path and angle of attack. I think they can measure face angle at impact. Skytrak doesn't measures club data other than club speed and smash factor. My point was that if you try to estimate face in the Eye Mini from path/angle of attack/ball direction then it may not be accurate unless you hit the CG due to gear effect. Eye Mini uses stickers and from my sources, they potentially can measure face angle but chose not to show it at this point.
