  • Skytrak, GC2, or BLP?

Looking to upgrade from R10 as my garage is causing lots of interference. Will probably end up purchasing GSPro and a gaming laptop also do budget is tight. I’m seeing certified preowned Skytrak for $1000 (+$250 gspro), used GC2 for ~$2800 (+$250 gspro), and certified pre owned BLP for ~$2600 (+500 for subscription and gspro). I would mainly use it for when I have buddies over and I will occasionally use it to keep the swing fresh. So probably would use it like 5-10 times a month. I’m wondering if Skytrak will be good enough to get the job done for a few more years especially at its current price. If money wasn’t an issue, I’d obviously go for the BLP but I don’t know I can afford it right now plus the additional subscription required. I just don’t know if I will use it enough to justify the price. Just looking for something that will be reliable as far as distances and shot shapes. Right now the R10 is all over the place and distances are so messed up that it’s almost not even fun playing. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

I am pretty new to this. I wound up buying a GC2 for $1550 in the sale section of this site. It is awesome. I feel like it is very accurate. I have nothing to compare it to, though. The only down side is the hitting area. It is pretty small, but manageable. I also bought an extra flash from Andy just to have one as a back up.

Curious what the interference was for the RC10? I currently have an Optishot, which I don't like and was thinking of going to an RC 10. I am just starting to research other models.

If you have not already I really recommend the GC3 it is so reliable when calculating your swing as well as the distance.

I used to have an r10 so I know your pain too well. If you by any chance are unsure about buying it I made a blog post on it doing a full review if you are interested

            Hope this helps,

            Best of luck to you.

I've been considering upgrading for a couple of years, but my original skytrak still works and I'm happy with what I get out of it. I hit balls 3 or 4 nights per week both on the range and in societies. Ball goes where I want it to.
Once it packs it in or my kid destroys it with a shank, I'd consider upgrading.
