  • Gc3?

Been several years since I have been on the site but back into building my own sim. In a new house and only have 8.6ft basement; I’m short so can swing up to 3 hybrid. Have everything left over from my original build but time to get a launch monitor. So many things have changed in last 4 years and thought I was pretty knowledgeable. Need some feedback/input, Sim application is indoor only, a way to keep myself sharp over the winter months. That said loved the TGC tour and sim golf, it’s my understanding that the software options allow shorter courses for sim play/there are “societies” that have shorter yardage ie 6200.

I know camera is better than radar; however, (I have 14ft behind/ 8in front). Thought initially I would be good with mevo+ then saw the skytrak+, but then the gc3 (ball only) is on sale for another 1k more. Looks like putting is a no go on GC3? But it’s “way” more accurate?

Having read 100’s of posts in the past I’m trying to gather folks actual opinions on if mevo+ gives actual accurate reflection of what the ball is doing? What are my limitations if I went to the GC3 (ball only) can I use tgc2019, I now see a GSpro is that an option etc. do I need any other licenses if I went with GC3?

I would say the gc3 (ball only) is the most I would be willing to spend, happy to pay a reasonable yearly subscription for sim…..so with that context what would give me a good accurate depiction of my ball, allow me the option of playing some shorter sim courses without being too cost prohibitive in my shorter basement limitations.

As always this community continues to be a wealth of knowledge but things have changed a lot from when GC2 was the regular option.

    Thank you in advance.

You could consider a Bushnell, same guts as the GC3, different exterior and offers an annual subscription model instead of larger 'Lifetime" up front lump sum fee. I'm kinda stuck on Foresight, so my opinion on other types wouldn't be valid.

Bushnell would be an option in US, not other countries. It is subscription based and the worry is the potential increase in the subscription costs for sim play. The GC3 ball enabled is an excellent choice for sim play. It is great for sim putting and heads over heals better than the Mevo plus. The other option while on sale is the Uneekor Eye Mini as a serious contender.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I have narrowed down to the mini and the GC3, basically the same price wondering if there is any difference, I’m in Canada so no bushnell for me. I guess I’m confused on what the “ball” only option vs the mini seems to give everything (with a small dot)…..is there any discernible difference. Looks like with GC3 it comes with a decent package and then I simply can add a 3rd party sim.

However, I like the camera shoring the impact on the mini…..never been so paralyzed making a decision lol! Would like to buy next few days as rest of the sims is done 😊.

GC3 ball enabled only has ball data. The club data is locked and would require you to purchase the club data to unlock the data.
