  • Which is the better choice: a used QED or a new Eye Mini?

I plan to build a simulator using a Carl Place custom enclosure in a 20x20x9'6 garage bay dedicated to the simulator. Please provide the pros and cons of each device.

So for the QED, I feel like it would be your best option. Especially if you want something that is going to show you very detailed analytics about your swing. The only real downside would be the price and the amount of space you will need for it. But, if those two things are not a problem then it would be perfect.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers

With qed you need to use the special balls and stickers on clubs for the most accurate data. I went with the qed ,i didn't care about the need for stickers. I like the mounting on ceiling, no need to move it out of the way in my garage. Also no subscription is a plus.

Depends on what you want. QED is fixed, overhead mounted and good for lefty and righty sim play. It has no yearly subscriptions but does require a specially marked ball. Eye Mini is a portable launch monitor that works with any ball. The benefits are it can be taken to the range/course and doesn't require any marked balls. The downsize is it needs to be moved back and forth for indoor sim play. Both require stickers on the clubs for limited club data.
