  • Currently have Mevo+ considering moving to a new device

    Good day All,

I currently have the Mevo+ with pro package and considering moving to a new device.

I have been reading many reviews on the following devices that are in my budget range here are my high-level pros and cons.

    Foresight GC3 ball enabled

    Pro
    - Foresight products are the most consistent and accurate
    - Everyone compares the data metrics to these devices
    - No subscription pricing

    Con
    - Expensive as i would want to add the club data later in future
    - no face to path parameter

    Uneekor eye mini

    Pro
    - includes all the data parameters
    - Impact video

    Con
    Subscription pricing

    Pro Tee VX

    Pro
    - includes all the data parameters
    - No subscription pricing
    - I have the Mevo+ for portability

    Con
    - not enough reviews on the product comparing data metrics with other devices
    - AOA not available for driver

I am leaning towards the GC3 as its the most accurate and most devices in this price range compares data metrics to it.
The other two are cheaper and have all more data metrics.

Just wondering if anyone who owned a Mevo+ moved to any of these devices?

You might consider the Bushnell launch pro (same device as GC3), but has a $500/ year subscription. However, if you sign up for golf journal, you get 20% off the ball and club enabled device. This brings the cost down to $2700, so even after $500/yr it would take over 8 years to get up to the same cost as the GC3 (assuming you want club data). Only thing I don’t like about mine is it doesn’t have club to path data, otherwise awesome.

the Bushnell is not available in Canada. 500/year subscription is a lot I find.

I'm only a week into it, but I'm very happy with my VX. Not sure why you listed no AOA data on the VX as a con. Pretty sure it has it for all clubs.

Protee posted a comparison chart in another thread.

For those who are in the market for a ceiling launch monitor, we compiled a nice overview of what's out there with all available features, compatible softwares and pricing! There is no big winner here, but it might save you some time when trying to collect all the data for the various systems. 2023 Ceiling Launch Monitor

I saw a video on the VX and the driver AOA was not available maybe they have added it as i know they are new features at a rapid pace.

I've only hit irons so far, but Attack Angle is definitely on there. Can't see why it wouldn't be for woods also. I do kind of remember one of the early videos where it wasn't there yet. Maybe from the PGA show. They are definitely adding to the software. There's a button to enable shot recording that says it's not there yet, but will eventually be used for bag mapping, etc. Something I can live without for now, but will certainly want as time goes on. To me if it's something the Skytrak range could do (bag mapping, wedge matrix, dispersion charts) then it should be a minimum expectation in a more advanced system.

Driver angle of attack is for sure working at this point.
