HDMI help

Up until now I have had my projector on the ground behind my mat due to electrical issues. I now finally have my projector mounted, but need to come up with a solution to source the video from the computer to the projector.

Is there a good wireless hdmi option, or do most people find the best way to make it work with a long hdmi cable and hide the wires as well as possible?

I think you will fidn most will run an HDMI cable all the way. Easiest cable to run would be Cat 5e/6 but then you need adapters or a projector which supports direct connections but I prefer HDMI for simplicity. Good Reading here:

Thank you for the response. Ultimately I have a finished basement where the main room is roughly 60 ft by 20 ft. The enclosure is at one far end. The projector is in the middle of the room with no access to feed an hdmi in the ceiling, so it would just be tacked across the ceiling to the nearest wall, which is 10 feet away. Might still be the best bet

Sounds like your ceiling joist runs the 20ft span. I would try feeding/fishing a line through ceiling to the wall. Make a hole above projector and another near wall, then run it down wall or make another hole at top and bottom of wall. Of course you will need to cover those holes. for the ceiling get creative and make a cover so future access is possible for maintenance. Will look better than running cable all the way across and down.
