  • Best splitter to view tv and projector through laptop

What splitter are you using I’ve tried a splitter from eBay and can’t seem to get the tv and projector work at the same time I’ve tried all the setting on the laptop mirror second view etc I can either get it from tv or the projector but not both anyone have a link for something that will work to get them both working or am I doing something wrong in my laptop setting
this did work a few years ago but was a pain to get on having to keep pushing in the tv port in and out and luckily it would sometimes come on. I’m thinking the splitter is t the correct one
just to confirm I want the projector and tv to see what my laptop is seeing through hdmi
I upgraded to the skytrak plus and must say it’s a league above the original skytrak
    thanks

It can be a bit confusing for sure. Key here is that your splitter, tv, projector, computer and cabling all need to be on compatible ports/formats. First, see what version of HDMI your computer is outputting. Then compare that with your displays. Newer versions of HDMI will accept an older version of output but not the other way around necessarily. Once you know what version you are working with - get compatible switch/splitter and cabling. No need to spend a ton on these but they do need to be the correct format. Powered splitter may also be required depending on cabling lengths.

Let me know if that makes sense or if I lost you.
