  • Foresight SIM-IN-A-BOX Albatross Package vs.TruGolf MAX + 4K

I am new to the Forum and have been learning. I am a very average golfer who wants to do a nice simulator in a new custom built garage where I can do a built in with the required 15x20x10 spacing. My budget is $35 - $40k. My goals are improving my game by practicing more and having fun with friends playing some great courses. While I know I can accomplish this with less $$$, I am not against spending my budget, which would include custom turn key installation.

I have spent some time looking on line and have had discussions with a few of the companies that do sell and install. As you tell my my name I am in Houston.

I think I have narrowed down my choices to 2 options, Foresight Albatross package and TruGolf Max+4K. I am leaning to the TruGolf as it looks like their updated Apogee Launch monitor has numerous features I like, including a video of your club head hitting the ball. Another reason for TruGolf is the E6 software has just under gone an upgrade and they have more courses to play. On the bad news side, it looks like TruGolf can only use E6 software.

On the other side, many folks seem to love the GC Hawk Launch monitor and you can use the GS Pro software.

Does anyone have the latest TruGolf set up and did anyone do the same comparison? Finally any thoughts on SES and Par2Pro or others to install?

    Thanks

Every time I see a post where the OP is considering a turnkey option, I get a case of the sads.

For 40K budget, you could get one of the most awesome setups if you did most of it yourself. IMO, anyone who does turnkey will eventually be disappointed.

But if you are going to do turnkey, buy a Foresight device.

I own a sim business and have helped many people with their sim builds, from consulting, install, or just providing all the gear they need. If you're gonna have everything installed, I would recommend a local installer so they can provide support for all the products and can easily come and fix anything if needed. Par2pro is in Canada so not sure how they do install in Texas. If you're open to buying products from someone else, I can provide everything and provide great pricing.

As far as the LM, I would go Foresight or Uneekor because they work with their own sim software but also work with others like GSpro and E6. The Apogee only works with E6 afaik and it's very expensive and it sucks to be locked in. Plus the Apogee has a very small hitting area. If you like the impact video, look at the Uneekor Eyexo2. It's a great price and comes with their swing cameras and balance mat, which are great for game improvement. The Foresight Falcon is a good option as well but doesn't have the impact video.

For game sim software, GSpro is by far the best. Great ball physics, huge course library and expanding daily, great course graphics, and GSpro developers come out with frequent updates and improvements, and it's the most affordable option.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

My home club has two separate custom simulator set ups both installed by Foresight Sports and both using the GC Quad. They are gorgeous albeit, having to move the LM from side to side to account for left and right handed play is a royal pain in the neck so glad to see that you are looking at the falcon. They also installed a super high end putting green in the same area. All of this to say that from what I have experienced, Foresight does an amazing job and combined with the ability to use GSPro makes Foresight the clear winner. You are going to love this investment. Good Luck!
