  • Does Foresight measure Swing Plane like TM?

So this issue came up in a recent lesson for my daughter. Her swing plane at impact for driver is too vertical at 56-59 degrees. I know 40ish is ideal.

I currently own an unlocked BLP / GC3 but noticed it doesn’t measure swing plane like the TM. Am I SOL or do other LM measure swing plane? Or perhaps GCQ?

    Much thanks in advance!

I don’t believe it can, given Foresight measures club data in a small window at impact. It has no idea how the club got to that window. It can measure swing path as you know, but only in that small area.

I would presume the best way to measure this with a Foresight device is to integrate it with Swing Cat and a DTL camera. I would think this would be an accurate method to measure that metric.

Of course the downside is if your daughter is practicing outdoors a lot, Swing Cat won’t work and you will need a separate option.

Thanks for the feedback! Makes sense why you said about how Foresight a camera really doesn't know club plane. Was hoping the Garmin R10 might measure it.

I heard that the Flightscope LM do.

Perhaps a phone camera based system is the best way.

      Anyways, the quest continues.
