  • New Theater Room Sim: Uneekor Eye XO2 vs. Foresight Falcon + Screen Questions

    Hi all -- I am debating between these two overhead launch monitors. I am already in the Foresight ecosystem but mainly run GSPRO on my Quad. I am building out a new sim room that is 16x20 but more like 16x16 as I plan to have some seating in the rear. Ceiling is 9'1" with the mat/flooring I plan to add.

    The XO2 is on sale right now including two cameras and the pressure mat for just under what I can get the falcon for. I also like the idea of a centered hitting area which favors the XO2 as well. We are all mainly righty's but do have a few friends who are lefty. It seems like with the falcon I would have to have two hitting strips if I wanted righty/lefty club data or maybe just offset the falcon so it has the ball data for all on the centered strip and only club data for righties (which is fine).

    For the other components, I am going with the Fiberbuilt player preferred with putting and that hitting strip is 2'x4'. BenQ LK936ST for the projector and the SigPro premium impact screen. Will I be able to watch movies with that screen/projector combo? Any other suggestions are welcome!

    I own a sim business and have helped many people here.

    The current Uneekor sale is pretty good and makes the Eyexo2 + Performance Optix a great value. The Falcon is nice and I'm sure gives better club data than Eyexo2. But you're aware of the hitting locations for Falcon which are a bit odd. You can have 2 hitting strips. Your ceiling height is a bit short for the Falcon though. They recommend 9.5-10.5ft ceiling height.

    The LK936ST projector is kinda the gold standard 4k projector for golf sims. It's an excellent projector and would work great for watching movies and sports as well. The SIGPRO Premium screen is good. You could consider the Carl's Built-In Screen as well. Watching movies is fine on an impact screen but depends on the level of quality you want as it's not as good as a movie projector screen, but the impact screen is still good and many people use their sims to watch movies and sports.

    I sell just about everything for golf sims and can help save you money. We can also discuss your space over the phone. Feel free to send me a DM if you'd like my help.

      Thank you!!

      Also apologies my ceiling height for mounting is 9'7" but the room has 6 inches of molding 2 feet around the edge for the room so I am using 9'1" for purposes of impact screen sizing.

        In this I'd go XO2. It's amazing tech and priced well. The falcon shines in a smaller room as you can offset for left and right. With the XO2 the hitting area is a lot smaller and you can have both hit in the middle which is good at 16' wide. Both require stickers but both offer great data. With the falcon you have to buy the software you won't use as you use GS so XO2 is cheaper. You have a quad so you may not need it.

          Thanks for your input. That's where my situation gets a little more complicated as I have the quad with all of the software so I can add on a falcon for right around the cost of the XO2 plus cameras and pressure mat. I have two cameras already so I would miss out on pressure mat but would not have to deal with two diff types of stickers. I would likely offset the falcon and use a center hitting mat so righty's get club data and lefties would only get ball. I do like the idea of the same ecosystem/data for the indoor sim and outdoor quad use. If a lefty in the sim room wants ball data I have the quad. But the XO2 is also pretty attractive making this a harder decision.

            I just want to understand before commenting further. Are you keeping your Quad regardless of your choice between Uneekor and Falcon?

            And what kind of cameras do you have currently, and what swing analysis (if any) program are you using now?

              I am keeping my quad yes. I have two imaging source 33UX273s running via swing catalyst.

                I understand everyone has different wants and needs, but the decision would be easy for me at this point:
                • Purchase EyeXO (not the 2, the original) on sale. Get the most basic software package you can with Uneekor. Use this for lefty friends or if you just want to play sim golf on GSPro without club data;
                • Keep Quad. Use Quad when by yourself which likely will be 90+ percent of time. Can use Quad for sim play and/or practice;
                • Use Quad with Swing Catalyst;
                • Upgrade cameras (don't buy from Swing Cat direct -- buy directly from the manufacturer)
                Really no need for Falcon if you own a Quad.

                Yes, you lose out on the balance plate going this route. But you can (at a much greater cost) get one through Swing Cat.

                  Why not get a mat that is 8-10 feet wide and run the flacon the way it's intended? That's what I would do.
