I'm looking in the 2500-3000 price range for a monitor and have basically narrowed it down to the SkyTrack Plus (ST+) and Uneekor Eye Mini Lite (EML).
Although, I should add I'm also open to BLP (or other Bushnell options), I just haven't done as much research there b/c it seems similar to the EML as far as data points you get. I'm open to spending a little more as well if there are options that meet all my criteria under $4000
Speaking of data points, that brings me to my MOST important criteria when selecting a monitor...
I'm really wanting to work a lot on face strike quality - so knowing where I'm hitting on the face. Yes, I know I could use impact stickers, but those probably won't work with the LM, and I do want it on EVERY shot (at least for a while - this would lead to the obvious choice of the EML since it has the impact picture and slow motion video of impact (although it still doesn't show exact location on a graphic, but nothing in the price range does that I'm aware of).
BUT, I'm also really wanting to work on face angle control - so face angle and face to path. This would lead to the obvious choice of the ST+. But, I'm not sure how accurate that data point on the ST+ really is - which is one of my questions for the forum.
The issue is that it seems I cannot have both!! The EML does not show face angle or face to path, while the ST+ does not show face impact location at all.
Another big thing I do care about is that ST+ does not show AOA, while EML does.
Smaller things that are not a big deal to me (unless I'm overlooking this stuff, please say so if I am)
-ST+ requires a "backdoor" connection to GSPro, while EML has official connection (with sub price)
-some people say ST+ is inferior to EML when it comes to accuracy - I do want an accurate unit, but there are mixed reviews here
-EML requires gaming PC, ST+ can run on Ipad
-ST+ has the 2-3 second delay, EML supposedly has negligible delay
Other things to note:
-I am planning on setting up and breaking down everything for each session - we use the garage for other things
-I am using a Spornia net, and plan to NOT set up a screen/projector at this time. I'm really just interested in the data numbers and can use a TV for that.
-I am NOT really planning to play courses in the short term, just the "range" sessions to get the data.
I'm open to any and all feedback. Some of my main questions are:
-Is the face angle and face to path data on ST+ really accurate? And is it something you look at often?
-Is the EML's accuracy really that superior to the ST+?
-How great is the EML's face impact picture/video? Are you using it a lot?
-Am I overlooking something obvious with my analysis?
-Wildcard - should I look more into Bushnell products? At a glance, I think the data offered is the same as the EML.
TLDR:
-Should I get ST+ that has face angle data but no face impact/location data
-OR the EML which has face impact picture/video, but no face angle data
-OR something else (like BLP)
Thanks so much!!
