  • PC in Garage ? potential issues

    Hi, my first post !!

I’m looking to set up a sim in my garage that has been converted into a part gym, the walls will be insulated and plasterboard, the roof will also be insulated.

i was wondering if anyone has a similar setup and has had any issues with Damp getting into the PC and causing issues, it will obviously drop below zero in the winter, I’m just concerned condensation could get into the CPU, motherboard, graphics card ETC.

    any advice / experiences welcome

Well I have a similar set up. My garage is insulated and finished but decided to go with a gamer laptop so I could bring it in the house. It’s dedicated for the sim…

The designed temperature range for laptops is 32°F to 95°F (0°C to 35°C). If you are worried about the low temperatures just leave on during the cold temps. Mine stays in the garage all year but the temp range in the garage is about 32-85F.and very humid during the summer with dew points in the mid 70's. Only possible problem is when starting up any LCD display will be a bit dim until it worms up.
