Advice on using one bay of my garage vs both?

Hi - our garage has two bays, but we only have one car, so one side is empty. The total width is 21 feet (split evenly in the two bays) and it's 20 feet deep.

Question - how should we think about the tradeoff of (1) only installing the sim in one bay (half the experience) vs. (2) moving the car in and out and having the sim be twice as wide but having hassle factors?

I currently have my sim in my garage, but it is only a single car garage. There is definitely some hassle factor with the car. I have a fiberbuilt 4x6 hitting mat so taking it up and down isn't much of an issue but can be annoying to do repeatedly.

Is there a way for you to fit it in the one side without the car so you don't have to put up/take down? If I'm reading it right you could still have about 10 feet of width and more than enough depth if you can configure it that way.

I'd use both bays. You just park your car over the mat. Use a tarp over the mat if your car leaks fluids. If you only use one bay you had better not hit any hosel rockets or you will be a steady customer at the body shop.

I don't care what your skill level is, the nature of hitting into a net is sooner or later you will hit some shanks if for no other reason then you will occasionally try to kill a shot or two. Over the years I have seen this from all level of golfers from 30 handicaps to +4 players.
