Netting behind impact screen

I was planning on using a net behind my impact screen and was wondering what works best for (net) distance from screen and how tight the net should be.
My thought was to have the net directly behind the screen and slightly tighter. I'll have about 1' clearance from the back of the screen and the wall. (not sure if that is enough)
I plan on using real golf balls.

One other thing I was curious about. Ill be hitting the screen off center due to room size and would imagine the screen tension will come into play. Meaning, the center of the screen would be more loose and would get tighter the closer you get to the edge.. Is this true? I don't have the screen yet and was just trying to cover all the bases.
I'm probably putting too much thought into this.
