  • Help!! New sim room

Hi, I live in the uk and want to build a sim room, I will be building it new so I can make it as big as I want.
I want to be able to play online for fun but also for it to improve my game,
Which system do you think I should go for.

Also if anyone is in the U.K. Could they tell me where to get a system from

Hi, where in the uk are you? If you're building a steel tube frame, this was the cheapest place I found: https://www.themetalstore.co.uk/

They do all the fittings too. Archery netting I purchased from networld-sports.

I haven't upgraded yet to a proper impact screen yet as my system is currently outdoors, but I agree with you in that finding stuff at the right price in the uk is tough.

A lot of people have said about importing the HQ Raw material and using tarp clips, which you can buy on Amazon to fix it in place... you'll have an import charge, but think it's only about £40.

    Good luck with your setup

Hi I'm in Kent, I was going to build a timber frame building in my garden and just have it as a simulator room with an impact screen I've done a bit of research about the different types of simulators you can buy but not sure which one to get, the gc2 sounds like the best but some of the cheaper models sound like they have better online play but might not be as accurate, also being in the uk it seems like not many people sell the different models.

I'm on the Isle of Wight , I built a timber frame garage for my sim room , I went with skytrak [imported] got a decent projector from eBay and a netting type screen from golf swing systems uk ,the guy was really helpful and the screen was very good value for money ...have since upgraded [imported] to HQ screen from par2pro. Also running TGC as my software.
If I had the extra ££ I may have gone Gc2 but have no complaints with my skytrak at all it's been great. And managed to get screen/projector/mat/pc for the money I saved from going gc2.

Protee is also a good option from what Ive read if you want a more permanent set up

Really depends on how far your budget will stretch.

If your ever over on the Isle of Wight your more than welcome to come have a look/demo.

Thanks smudge after looking though the forums I think I'm going to go for a skytrak, it will be a permanent set up.

Also are the computer side of things easy to set up?

Yeh was a doddle , had an iPad for awhile with just skytrak range which was fine then the TGC installation was easy when I got my pc - protee have great support. Just check the pc specs required for TGC if you go that route or PG when it's released.

Where did you purchase the TGC software from? How much did it cost? If you don't mind me asking

From the skytrak website , think it's the only place to purchase , did it through the US skytrak site and got it for $995
