  • Net return sim series

Anyone have one of these that can comment on quality and whether or not it is a decent setup for a garage sim? I plan on using skytrak as the LM and tgc for my my software.
Looks nice but and thinking I would want a different mat system and would like to know if there are any issues hitting wedge shots.

    Thanks for any feedback!

I have the Net Return net (not the sim one), the Skytrak and The Golf Club simulator. The Net Return is by far the best net I've ever hit into, the customer service is great and the price is good for the product - no better net that I have found. I haven't had many issues with the Skytrak. Sometimes it won't register the odd wedge shot or short putt, but it is still in it's infancy and firware updates are coming out all the time. For the price you can't do better. The Golf Club interface is amazing. It has the best graphics of any golf interface I've played on and seems accurate. There is a yearly membership fee and it's a bit pricey.

For the Mat, this is what I did and it works great - almost feels like hitting off real turf (almost). I bought the 6' x 10' mat from Net Return. I bought four 8' x 2' pieces of 3/4 inch insulation board and cut and duct taped them together. I bought 4 packages of the 2' x 2' kids 1/2 inch mat squares (they come in packages of 4) and duct taped them all together.

Next, I laid the insulation board down and put double side carpet tape around it's edges and through it's center, I then laid the mats on top of that and repeated the process with the carpet tape on top of the mats and finally I laid the Net Return mat on top of that. You can actually hit down into the mat without breaking your wrists this way.

    Hope this helps.

I used a Net Return Sim Series net in my sim. It is a very good product. My only issues with it is size. If space allowed, I would have preferred a wider screen for a more immersive experience, but if you are space constrained, then it is a fantastic solution. It's also great for people who need something that can be taken down or moved (My wife wouldn't allow any permanent alterations of the room I was using). The screen is good quality and looked good with my projector. I never had issues hitting wedges. I used a RealFeel mat, which I liked. I no longer have my simulator, and I am selling my Net Return in the classifieds. Depending on your location, it could be a good deal.
