Need some advice on possible LM setup

I am looking to building myself a mini-range in my living area. I live in an apartment in NYC , so you can imagine that I don't have much space to work with here. I need my net, mat , LM to be easy to setup /take down within a minute or so.

So far I have bought the Rukket portable driving net. Its 10x7x5 and takes no-time to setup and take down. Although I feel the net is not very sturdy. How easy is the net return to assemble/disassemble ?

Also, wondering what mats I should be looking at ? I have heard that CC golf mats are the best but I am not really sure how portable they would be. I have been reading up on it and people say its kind of heavy to be moving it around. Any other suggestions for golf mats ?

On the LM, I am undecided between SkyTrak or GC2. I am purely interested in the driving range feature so don't plan to use the golf simulation. Which LM would you recommend ? I understand GC2 is probably more accurate but it also costs 3 times. ST has an on-going cost (I think $99 per year) to it which is a bit annoying.

Just a quick question as to whether or not you have hit balls in your apartment yet? The reason for asking is that the sounds can be rather loud and there have been other posts here describing issues of people in apartments getting noise complaints. I would check this out before spending more money.

Good point. I have done two 30 minute sessions and haven't had a complain yet. But I can see how that can be a problem. Is there a way to lessen the sound ? I am total soundproofing is going to be totally out of my budget and pointless

ST and GC2 are both plenty accurate. The big difference between the two is the size of the ball read box. w/ ST, you have to put it on a small laser dot, give or take some. With Foresight, you can drop it pretty much anywhere within reason and it will detect the ball immediately.

CCE is absolutely heavy to move. Forget it unless you want to kick it under a bed or a couch.

And yes, the Skygolf recurring revenue model nonsense is more than annoying. I was an early adopter and the fact that they laid it on people after the fact was what caused me to bail and move to GC2. If your budget allows, that's the way I would go.

Noise is absolutely an issue for people with families in single family houses. It will definitely be an issue in an apartment building.

It's not ideal, but the best way is to switch to Almost Golf or Qolf balls.
