Help with designing my new simulator/putting green

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum, I plan on making a golf simulator very soon, as i have ordered my lumber, and my turf already, and it all coming tomorrow and the next day. I have made a simulator before when i first started playing golf 5 years ago, but i only had it for a year then i moved out and took it all down, my turf was all messed up cause i bought cheap stuff and threw it all out, so basically i just have all the guts left, my screen i made, projector, and some other random stuff.

My last simulator was running the p3proswing, which worked yes, but i was not a big fan of, i got a really old model, so it was just the rubber top, but i got a good deal on it, and my last simulator was a total cost of about $800, yes $900. That includes my p3, projector, screen, turf, 4 cups to putt in, it was a really good deal.

At the end of the day, I now own my own house, and plan on putting something great in, and to keep this one for a long time. I will be purchasing a skytrak very soon (just waiting on a car of mine to sell) and i plan on having my "ultimate" setup.

For those of you that have Putting green knowledge of slope over distance and that kind of stuff, i am seeking advice on how much, or how little, i should be sloping the green.
The turf i bought is the SynLawn Precision Putt. It is hands down the finest quality turf i have ever seen, rolls so true, and quite fast as well. I am so excited to get back into the sim world you guys don't even know lol.

Please help me decide on

-How much slope/elevation i should have on my green
-Distances from walls/screen
-Any other thoughts or recommendations from people who have done this a few times

I did learn a bunch of stuff the first time i set one of these up, so i have already learned from my mistakes, but i am by all means, not an expert.
I also do have a way i am going to build this all and slope everything, i have a construction background so that will not be hard for myself.

This was my first design, I have since added in a little more space to utilize my garage better and to gain that little bit more square footage on the whole thing



This is my second design, im not too sure if I like the slope by the screen on that side, which is why I went with one more design



This is my last design i have come up with so far, I have tried to get as many specs in i could think of for construction. some of the slopes in the top left corners will become extreme, but i wont be putting up those parts from hole to hole, you will be down in the flat, choosing which tier you want to putt up to.



I am not quite sure how easy all the numbers and stuff will be to read on the computer, but I did it all on my phone so zooming in to read stuff is easy with them.

Please any input is appreciated, I want to build this once, and right the first time.

So i have basically finished building my setup, i have a few minor touchups like adding a barrier to keep balls in, and a couple other random tasks to complete my simulator. The turf i got from SynLawn is top notch, i cant believe how good it reacts to chips, putts, and everything. My uncle came to help me build this, and we spent tons of time making sure it was lvl every inch of this platform seems my garage has a slope. it came out perfect and everything worked flawlessly during this build. The slopes from the 3rd design slightly changed, but my god is this putting green fun to play on. I cant believe this worked out so great and how nicely the turf just sat on it and accepted the curvatures that we designed into the framing, anyways enjoy some pics!!!



You can kind of see the platform being mocked up in the back left corner of the base



If you look at all the "joists" they are all different heights on the endcap, due to us leveling out every stud in every direction, the roll on this green is so true thanks to the high quality precision putt green from synlawn

After hours of setting all the cups, cleaning, sheeting, fighting with this super heavy awkward green that has a rubber base so it doesnt like to slide, i give you the finished green, I am blown away with the quality of this build

Yo, that is crazy awesome! Super cool you built it all yourself (and uncle too of course), that looks like pro did it. Living the dream! Love seeing when people do golf things like this in what was previously just a plan ol boring area. Always gets ideas running through my head if I could do something similar. You planning on putting some sort of finishing on the exposed wood side area on the last picture? Either way it looks great with the wood as well, just curious how it would looks with a black fabric or something all the way across it. Very awesome and great work!

Wow that looks awesome! I don't think I have seen anyone do multiple sloped areas of a green like that. Usually the whole thing just slopes one direction. One question, it looks like your impact screen is only 3-4" from the wall. Do you have something behind it, or is it just tensioned really tight? I have about a foot and a half behind mine which is overkill, but I'm curious how you were able to get yours so close without balls hitting the back wall.

thanks for the compliments on my new setup, it has blown me away with the quality of this turf, and how well everything seems to roll and the grading i put into the green, I couldnt be happier with the outcome. As for the finishing touches on the edges, i just spoke with my turf supplier and he said he has a bunch of cut off sections of some rough i can have to dress the whole front edge with, as far as boarder around the other edges to keep the balls on the green, i think im just gonna get some garden edging once spring time rolls around and put that up as a little bumper pad. I will get some footage soon of the balls rolling on the green and the break and what not so you can see how she rolls.
