How to get your own dedicated Sim room

Step 1 - Move all the furniture out of your living room
Step 2 - Build your golf sim room
Step 3 - Wait for your girlfriend to tell you that she "will not have that in her living room"
Step 4 - Refuse to be put in the garage
Step 5 - You either have a brand new dedicated golf sim room or a new girlfriend

Disclaimer: This may not work if you are already married or own a home.

Backstory: Shortly after my girlfriend and I started dating I got the golf fever again. After playing indoors at a sim place. I started doing research and stumbled across this forum. We aren't living together yet so I did the above. Well things get more serious and we start looking to buy a house together. I did have to deal with her getting pissed a couple times because we saw some beautiful homes but "12 feet just isn't long enough" or "an 8 foot ceiling just wont work unless you don't mind me putting holes in it."

My space now is 10x15x8. I can swing driver but there are definitely marks on the ceiling.

Our offer on a house got accepted today which features a 17x17x10 dedicated golf sim room.

I've great some great ideas from this community for version 2.0. Some of you guys have rooms I would die for.

I'm trying to figure out how to post pics of my current setup but i'm not having any luck.
