I am looking at building a modern shed in my backyard to house a simulator. I currently have a skytrak that I use with the app on my phone. The biggest I can make the shed is 18x18. It will have a flat roof sloping front to back. I plan on making the front 12' sloping to 10' in the back. Will this be enough head room? Also at what distance should I set up from the screen? I would like to have as much room as possible behind for chairs. Thanks

You may be able to put chairs in the corner, but you might not have enough room to put chairs behind. Height will be fine. People have gotten their screens fairly close to the wall like around 8" or so. Getting seating directly behind will depend upon how close you get your screen to the wall and how close to the screen you want to hit from.

I wouldn't put any seating on the sides honestly. . I'd put the couch or chairs behind and to the left and right of the swing area. You can hit from as close to 6 ft of the screen if need be which would leave you tons of room in back. You'll see when swinging, sitting directly to the the left or right of someone hitting is not only not a comfortable feeling but may distract the guy hitting also. Here's a link to my build when I did it. On the last page you can see my little seating on both sides of the door. They seat 2 or 3 each and all the cushions flip over to a tray to put beer etc. I never had more than 4 a time because it would be too cramped inside. https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...my-build/page4Last edited by Jwheels9876; 01-25-2018, 01:35 PM.
