Hi guys,
First post (NEWBIE ALERT) and really want to say i've enjoyed reading through the forum the past few weeks. Learned a ton, so thanks.
I wanted to run my BOM by you guys to get your thoughts and opinions. Especially from those of you who've built your sim in the garage. I have a 3 car garage and the wife is open to giving me one of the bays. It was that or the basement. I think we both got something out of the negotiation... Anyway, I have a $5k budget and have zero'd in on SkyTrak as my preferred choice of simulator. From there I need the basics: screen/enclosure, projector, hitting mat, etc. I'd also like to somehow seperate my bay from the other 2 as i live in Michigan and we park the cars in the garage all the time. The snow, dirt, kick up of dust, etc. is what i'm trying to keep out obviously and thought about actually building a wall to do so. I saw someone else mention a heavy duty drape in one of the other threads and think that might be more cost effective. i'm also thinking about some type of HVAC unit for the space considering i'm dealing with both extreme summers and winters. One additional thing i'll need is the hardware/software... What's the lag time between an iPad, an iPad Pro (faster?), and a gaming tower (fastest?)?
FYI, I'm working with a garage space of 20' x 10.5' x 10.5'. Again, thoughts and comments welcome.
