EMT projector mount ideas

I recently built a standard open box style frame out of 1" EMT (sized to fit my space - 9' wide, 8' tall, 5' deep). Currently, projector is on the floor. For various reasons, I don't want to ceiling mount the projector. However, I was thinking about adding an ~2' extension off of the top front cross-pole and hanging the projector from that. Any suggestions as to the best way to do that? There must be examples of other builds with an EMT extension projector mount that is not ceiling mounted.

I have done that with my ongoing build. I built the frame out of 33mm tubing for which there are a lot of fitting options to go with the tubing . I am in Scotland so sourced the tube and fittings from here tube-clamp. You could look at their site and try to source something similar where you live.
I originally went with a set of through type fittings which enabled the projector mounting tube to pass directly through the 3 top crossbars but changed the design when I got it built into the studio . Reason was I had cut the steel tube and assembled it on its back in my driveway and it looked really good but when I disassembled and then reassembled it in the studio in the correct orientation I ended up having too much sag in the top rails in the middle . This was not due to the weight of the projector but due to the fact that the top rail poles were in two pieces to allow the projector rail to pass through and the connecting fittings did not have enough of a close tolerance to prevent the sag.
What I then did was to get more tube to allow one piece top rails and then used a fitting that allows the projector mount pole to be mounted on top of the top rails. My projector mount pole passes over the top of 3 cross bars which helps give the frame more rigidity and helps a little with any sag, My enclosure is 4.5 meters wide by 3 meters high but if your enclosure is not as wide then sag should not be an issue.
Mounting the pole on the top of the top rails also helps with positioning of the projector in a vertical sense. When I trial mounted mine first time the picture was too low due to the dimensions of the universal projector mounting kit being over 200mm in length dropping the position of the projector too low relative to the screen. I have since sourced a low profile mount that I have still to fit but that and the fact that the pole is now mounted above the top rail giving me another 35-40 mm to play with should hopefully get me where I need the projector to be.
I will try to take some pics tomorrow which should illustrate how I have done it a bit better than I can explain.
