16x10 Pleasure Cruise, Questions!

Im going to purchase a 4K upshift 6500 lumen projector for a 16x10 screen. Is TGC right now playable in 4k even? E6?

Question : Do you think I could hit 8 or 9 feet away on that screen like and would I be able to appreciate the higher resolution there by doing so ( being closer). Would it be more immersive; Or would closer be counterproductive as you know, the trees and stuff you see the imperfections actually more so and for the worse?

I want to skip track drapes so being closer could make that possible But anyone love their impact panels or have wall protection recommendations.?

Any other suggestions? On anything in their dream sim. Here's room pic, dedicated 28x22x11

The main component is not the software, it is your graphics card. That will output to the device that is signalling the resolution, e.g. 1920x1200 monitor calls for that resolution so graphics card sends out that signal, the software will run at 4K and your projector will request a 4K signal. How good a graphics card you have will determine the Frame Rate.....basically smoothness of moving images.

I have a 1080ti, which is high-end and can support 4x4K monitors. Check your graphics card spec.

Any Q's just ask.

For the first few days you will look really closely and start picking at slight defects!! then You will get down to why you built it...your carry numbers and improving golf.

So there is no doubt I am going to get a 1080ti. I guess I was looking for feedback that it is worth my trouble to get that card and pay for this projector. I want those graphics on my screen in 2019 when the new softwares come out. I don't want to be standing too close to be ruining the experience but if it enhances the experience that is what I want to do. Cuz right now I think I'm going to stand close around 8 or 9 feet for that size screen. This is a rebirth of video game playing for me in one sense and playing golf with similar childhood Obsession in another

I'm trying to lock down the best looking premium screen I have the SQ2 & Carl's premium samples here. Hard to say which is better . I just hope it looks a good step towards realistic a year from now on TG2 or E6 connect.

Nvidia is coming out soon with a new gtx card. So either the old cards will go on sale soon or you could get the new card. The current gtx 1060/1070/1080 are I think at least 2 years old. The new cards will be excellent for 4K and very stable from what I have read.
