Moving outdoor R-motion Setup to small space. Suggestions welcome

So I just caught the golf bug and cannot get enough. After having setup a screen and net in the back yard I thought I was done. Unfortunately this came with some major draw backs such as not being able to use the projector except at night, electronics getting overheated, a general eyesore, and non favorable weather conditions. I have a 13x12x10 home gym which I'll try to squeeze everything into and relocate the gym to the garage (ceiling in garage is only 8.5'). The room will also double as a VR room.

    Heres the plan:
    • Room dividers hung from ceiling, with two 90 degree tracks and one 12' straight track.
    • Carls impact screen
    • Dynamax Net 12'x25'
    • Ben 2150st
    • Moving blankets for backing

    Heres the worry:
    • Width and length
      • Plan to use almost golfballs
      • Hit off center.

Before I move the gym and start putting holes in the walls any suggestions or reasons not to? I already have the screen, net, projector, and computer.

    Thanks!

All parts received. Will start building out this weekend. Hope this helps for others with smaller rooms.

Version 1.0 complete. Space is not a problem, can comfortably swing a driver. Any questions let me know.

Looks good but tight. Are you hitting real balls or almost balls?

Almost golf balls, but will try real eventually with some more padding. I was worried about the space but it works already hit over 300 drives with no will hits.

Added the mattress topper behind the screen and hitting real balls now.

Looks nice. Much better than outside with the bugs.

Thanks, how are you liking the skytrak and r-motion? See any difference in the two? I'm already thinking about upgrading.

Honestly haven’t used them much. I am trying to finish my sim and they keep distracting me. I only used the rmotion with my driver. I am a terrible golfer so anything is good for me.

How close is your screen to the wall? Looks like it’s right up against it.

Its 2" I had to hang a mattress topper between the screen and the carpet to stop the bounce back

htdumps I really like the room divider idea as I will be needing to collapse my sides in. I have a room about this size but did not think it would be feasible with needing the space from that wall to the screen. So I am looking at options in my garage.

Do you have any issues with the screen attached like this with nothing on the sides or bottom (bounce back)? Also, where did you get the room dividers from? I have done a few searches and there are TONS of options out there. Some rather $$$.

Lastly, I don't see your netting in there anymore so your no longer needing it?

Sorry for all the questions.. just trying to get all the info prior to starting my build!

                Thanks for sharing!

No issues with the screen expect a few wrinkles, bounce back was solved by handing a 4" foam mattress topper from the room dividers. I got the room dividers from amazon, they were a little pricy. I do not use the net any more.
              Working...
