    Projector distance

    Please help. I think I have it figured out but want to double check.

    I got a Epson EX3240. Here is the information.

    Aspect Ratio 4:3
    Throw Ratio Range:1.45 (Zoom:Wide), 1.96 (Zoom:Tele)

    From what I have read with my 10ft screen I will need it to be

    10ftx12in = 120

    120x throw ratio (1.45)= 174/12 = 14.5ft away from screen. That should fill my screen correct?

    Then I read somewhere that if the aspect ratio is 4:3 that means 4 feet from screen for a 3 wide picture.

    So that would be I only need 12 feet behind the screen.

    Then I looked at projector central and it is saying 18'9" back.

    Someone please help and tell me what I should do????

    Thank you

        Awesome.. Thank you that is what is basically what my math had gotten me as well.

        I am assuming if it is on the floor vs hanging in the air it isn't much different
