  • Question about evening hitting mat and putting turf height.

Some of y’all have done an awesome job building a “slot” for a fiberbuilt (or similar) mat into the putting surface.

I guess my question is two fold:

I have a old 7 x 4 ulti mat that was used for my old optishot. When I upgraded to the GC2 I widened the opti shot cut out to 1 x 3 for the fiber built strip. To make the strip even with the Mat I just used some wood strips to build it up. I think the fiberbuilt is an excellent choice.

thanks guys. looking to build a space with a fairly large putting green, and a hitting strip/area built in. one of my main concerns is putting from the hitting strip when using the skytrak.

I have no problems when putting. The ball rolls very well off the strip and I feel is accurate when playing.
