    Garage build 1.0

    So new member and figured I’d share my new garage build. 13x10x5 EMT. SQ screen and 10x5 CCE from Partwo Pro. BenQ 671ST and a Predator 300 gaming laptop.

    Wasn’t sure if Sim life was gonna be for me so I purchased Skytrak with TGC as JNPG was not available.(woulda probably got both if available)

    My 5 kids play as well so if I can justify it to the boss, version 2.0 will use the full 18 foot width and I’ll lay a subfloor and turf it all !!

    Played a couple nines at Augusta and grabbed Pebble tonight for my first 18.(the last pic) I’m a 2 hdcp IRL so needless to say, I’m loving it so far lol

    Lots of great info in this group and got a lot of tips from stalking a lot of members build progresses.

    Cheers to a newfound love for Canadian winter 😬

      Awesome, thanks for sharing... Is your garage attached and heated? Looks great for a 1.0 setup. I'm itching to get my 2nd floor built now, I played yesterday and it was 47 degrees, I'm close to Canada, being in Northern, Indiana (almost to Michigan border).

      After getting estimates on basement digging options (nearly impossible as I have 1 wall that is not 8' foundation wall, but crawlspace 3'), and garages (unfortunately my garage is grandfathered on the property line, but too close to my house and local ordinances limit me to 14' height, I've decided a 2nd floor on the house is the only option at this point - that will give me a 20' x 11' space with roof trusses featuring a tray ceiling, or a cathedral ceiling that will go to 10' at it's peak.

          Ya the garage is 18x20 attached. Just a space heater for now but new doors and windows go in a few weeks and then I’ll probably get a gas heater put in.

          I had the same problem with the basement and my garage space worked. Just added a couple sheds for the crap lol

          Your setup looks great. I’m curious about what’s the connection between being a 2 hdcp IRL and loving your simulator setup.

              Being a 2 means nothing to the enjoyment. Just figured if I posted my first full 18(which obviously was pumped about) that I’d give some context to my RL ability level is all.

              I see. I misunderstood your comment and thought you meant that being a 2 hdcp somehow affected your enjoyment of the sim. Well, I hope to be a 2 hdcp someday. 😀

                  Very nice setup. How is your impact screen attached to the frame? I see several eye bolts throughout your frame, what are they used for?

                      The eye bolts were just the emt connectors from tarps.com. The screen is all attached with ball bungees.
