I am trying to decide whether to use gray carpet (cheaper) or black carpet for the sides of my simulator. Is there a strong advantage for black?

Are you putting anything else on the wall, not just carpet for a bit of padding/ no bounce or richochet off? I am thinking about curtains for my sides.

I have only carpet. The ball is going toward the screen no matter how bad it’s hit. Any ricochet goes into the screen. My Courses:

Ditto here, I'm going to be using carpet on one side, probably will be black so no reflection/makes it darker so will help with screen image also if dark. On the other side I am going to use a curtain that can be pulled back as it is over a door. I would suggest some quite thick carpet would be best so the balls are protected a bit more.

I used charcoal gray peel and stick carpet tiles from amazon on my walls. The peel and stick didn’t hold too well and had to redo with double sided tape. Below are some pictures of my sim.4 Photos
