I bought the Carl's Preferred screen with the grommets, and used bungee cords and angle iron on the sides and top to hang it. I've got an old piece of carpet hanging from the ceiling about 3" behind the screen, hoping it would help with the impact. I also took two 3' long by 1" pipe and zip tided it to the bottom of the screen to give it some weight and remove some of the wrinkles. As you can see from pictures, you can see from the pictures, ball marks from where the ball has hit the screen. From the videos I have watched on you tube and various other places, you don't see these marks. What have I missed or screwed up when I hung my screen. Do these spots become less noticeable when the sim software and project or running? Thanks for the input

Some people put a comforter behind the screen with a mattress topper in the middle behind, and have almost zero bounceback. I don't think the dimples in the screen are a problem for them. I just have the comforter behind mine, and it drops maybe 6" from the screen. I have Carls Premium in my set up. The sides should be loose when playing golf I believe.
My stepdad is building me a side crank so to speak where the screen is tight to watch tv, etc, and then with a crank on either side its loose for sim golf.

I also purchased a preferred screen and called the company and sent them pics and was told that this was just the way the screen performed. I had similar issues as you. They convinced me to upgrade to a premium. I’m hopeful that this fixes the problem.

I have the premium and will get one indent where the most recent ball strike occurs - but nothing like that with multiple marks at one time. Definitely less visible while playing the sim. I had too many bungees tied on at the start causing serious bounce back issues - used every other and problem solved. The premium screen has been great - I do see some markings from the ball spin but I’m sure that’s inevitable with any screen and is not at all visible when playing.

Update: installed the premium screen today. Very satisfied with it. It actually hangs way better than the preferred and doesn’t have the ball indentation issue the preferred has.
